Lifetime UK has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Girlfriends' Guide To Divorce after striking a deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Television Distribution, TVWise has learned. The show's 13 episode first season will premiere on Lifetime UK on Tuesday September 15th at 9pm.

Some two years after Sky Living cancelled the series, Lifetime UK has commissioned Thumbs Up Productions to produce a new version of the series, after they secured the format rights in a deal with CBS Studios International. Lifetime UK has ordered ten episodes for the debut season of the new format, which does not include Ireland in that title due to licensing restrictions. Production will get underway this September in the UK and abroad for a 2016 premiere.
