ITV’s ‘Lewis’ To End Run After Nine Seasons
After nine seasons on air, Morse follow-up Lewis is coming to an end. ITV has announced that the drama series starring Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox will not return for a tenth season. The November 10th season finale will also serve as the series finale.
Steve Toussaint, who co-starred on the second season of BBC Two's Line Of Duty, has joined the cast of ITV's long-running Morse follow up Lewis as a series regular for its upcoming six episode ninth season. He will play Chief Superintendent Joseph Moody, Lewis' new commanding officer.
It's Official: ITV is moving forward with a ninth season of Lewis. The commercial broadcaster confirmed the news today, after months of rumours that a ninth run had been commissioned by Director of Drama Steve November and Drama Controller Victoria Fea. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's ninth season, which will be retaining the hour-long format which came in with season seven.
