Add Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to the list of shows making the jump from Universal TV to Sky Witness. America's longest running prime-time drama series is moving to the Sky channel with the UK premiere of its record breaking twenty-first season set for Tuesday December 10th at 10pm.

Warren Leight is returning to SVU. The veteran producer, who served as showrunner for seasons thirteen through seventeen, is returning to serve as the showrunner for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's recently ordered record-breaking twenty-first season.

Fresh off of scoring a record breaking renewal, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is losing a cast member. Philip Winchester (Strike Back, The Player), who plays Peter Stone, is exiting the long running drama ahead of its twenty-first season. The Stone character originated on the short-lived Chicago PD spin-off Chicago Justice and is the son of the mothership Law & Order's original lead prosecutor Ben Stone (Michael Moriarty), After Justice was cancelled, Winchester joined the cast of SVU in a recurring role for season 19, before becoming a regular in season 20.

SVU is breaking TV records. NBC has renewed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for a twenty-first season. With the pick-up, the series breaks the record for longest running prime-time drama series that was previously jointly held by Law & Order and Gunsmoke.
