The ninth and final season of Last Man Standing will receive its UK premiere on Disney+'s Star on Wednesday July 28th, it has been announced. New episodes will continue to be released on a weekly basis. Last Man Standing is getting yet another UK home. Disney+'s Star brand has secured the SVOD rights to the Tim Allen comedy and will make the first eight seasons of the show available to stream from Wednesday July 28th. Notably, this marks the first time season 8 has aired on this side of the pond. 
Fox has renewed their Tim Allen fronted comedy series Last Man Standing for next season. This marks the second season on the network, after they revived it a year after ABC's cancellation, and its eighth overall. 5Star holds rights to season seven but have yet to set a premiere date. 
UPDATE, April 4th: After reaching out to Channel 4 last week, a spokesperson has told TVWise that "Last Man Standing is currently taking a break from the schedules but will return" at a later date. Despite rumours to the contrary, I'm told the ratings performance of the show was not a factor in the decision to pull it from the schedule.
