Lyndsey Marshal To Play Agatha Christie In Channel 5’s ‘Agatha And The Curse Of Ishtar’
Channel 5 has found a new Agatha Christie. Lyndsey Marshal (Rome, Hanna) has been tapped to play the famous author in Agatha And The Curse Of Ishtar, the second entry in Channel 5's series of Agatha And The... films. She replaces Ruth Bradley (Humans) who played Christie in the first film, Agatha And The Truth Of Murder.
Channel 5 has ordered two follow ups to last year's Agatha & The Truth & Murder. The two new feature-length dramas, inspired by the life of Agatha Christie, are Agatha And The Curse Of Ishtar and Agatha And The Death Of X. It is not immediately clear if Ruth Bradley (Humans) will reprise her role as Agatha Christie.
Douglas Henshall (Shetland, Outlander), Louise Lombard (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) and Neve McIntosh (Cheat, Stan Lee’s Lucky Man). have been set to star in The Small Hand, Channel 5's feature-length adaptation of Susan Hill's ghost story.
This is a major coup for Acorn TV. The North American streaming service has secured the exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the upcoming fifth season of BBC One's Line Of Duty in a deal with Kew Media Distribution. They replace Hulu as the U.S. home to Jed Mercurio's thriller.
