ITV’s ‘Lewis’ Renewed For Ninth Season

The commercial broadcaster confirmed the news today, after months of rumours that a ninth run had been commissioned by Director of Drama Steve November and Drama Controller Victoria Fea. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's ninth season, which will be retaining the hour-long format which came in with season seven.

The two broadcasters, as well as Canada's Shaw Media, have handed out a 10 episode straight-to-series order to Houdini and Doyle, a drama about the two men investigating supernatural crimes which hails from House showrunner David Shore and Sony Pictures Television.
