‘Prime Suspect’ Prequel ‘Tennison’ Gets Series Order At ITV
The Prime Suspect prequel is moving forward. ITV has handed out a six episode series order to the project, which has been in the works for more than a year, every since Prime Suspect creator Lynda La Plante announced in 2014 that she was writing a prequel novel titled Tennison, which would also be adapted for television. 
ITV's new three-part drama Black Work will premiere on Sunday June 21st at 9pm, it has been announced.
ITV has given the green-light to Dark Angel, a two-part drama which is based on the true story of Victorian serial killer Mary Ann Cotton. Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) is attached to star, with production set to commence in August in North Yorkshire and County Durham.
Swedish thriller series Jordskott will receive its UK premiere on ITV Encore on Wednesday June 10th at 10pm, it has been announced.
ITV has renewed WWII drama Home Fires for a second season. The commercial broadcaster has ordered a further six episodes for season two, which is expected to enter production this Summer in Cheshire for a 2016 premiere.
Steve Toussaint, who co-starred on the second season of BBC Two's Line Of Duty, has joined the cast of ITV's long-running Morse follow up Lewis as a series regular for its upcoming six episode ninth season. He will play Chief Superintendent Joseph Moody, Lewis' new commanding officer. 
ITV has released the first trailer for the upcoming second season of their Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi fronted comedy series Vicious, which is set to premiere on Monday June 1st at 9pm.
