Harry Hill is returning to ITV. The commercial broadcaster has handed out a series order to Alien Fun Capsule, a new panel show fronted by Hill, it was announced today by ITV's Director of Television Kevin Lygo at the Edinburgh International TV Festival.
ITV's eight episode Cold Feet revival will premiere on Monday September 5th at 9pm, it has been announced. 
ITV's hit period drama Grantchester is going festive this year. The commercial broadcaster has ordered a one-off 90 minute Christmas special. That is in addition to the previously announced six episode third season, which will air in 2017. 
The fifth season of DCI Banks will premiere on ITV on Wednesday August 31st at 9pm, it has been announced.

Amanda Redman (New Tricks) and Amrita Acharia (Game Of Thrones) have been set as the leads in The Good Karma Hospital, ITV's six-part medical drama from Mr Selfridge scribe Dan Sefton and independent production company Tiger Aspect Productions. The series is set in a coastal town in tropical South India and follows a team of British and Indian medics as they cope with work, life and love at the “Good Karma”. 
ITV has tapped True Blood star Stephen Moyer for the lead role in the second season of their event drama Safe House, TVWise has learned. He replaces Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston, who led the cast in season one. Originally Eccleston and the core cast from season one had been set to return, but after he pulled out in June, the second season was re-conceived with the setting of the series being shifted from the Lake District to Wales.
