‘Houdini & Doyle’ Cancelled After One Season
Houdini & Doyle - the three way co-production between ITV Encore here in the UK, Fox in the United States and Global in Canada - has been cancelled after one single ten episode season, TVWise has confirmed. 
After weeks of rumours, ITV Encore has confirmed that Da Vinci's Demons star Tom Riley has been set as the lead in Dark Heart, their one-off two-hour drama from Chris Lang and ITV Studios which is based on Adam Creed's Wagstaffe novel Suffer the Children.
ITV Encore has picked up their period drama The Frankenstein Chronicles, starring Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, Legends), for a second season, TVWise has learned. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's second season. 
ITV Encore's Sean Bean fronted drama series The Frankenstein Chronicles will premiere on Wednesday November 11th at 10pm, it has been announced.
The third season of FX's cold war spy drama The Americans will receive its UK premiere on ITV's pay channel ITV Encore on Wednesday August 19th at 10pm, it has been announced.
