ITV Encore & Hulu Order Brothel Drama ‘Harlots’; Samantha Morton, Jessica Brown Findlay & Lesley Manville To Star

ITV is teaming up with Hulu for their next high-end period drama. The commercial broadcaster has given the green-light to Harlots, an 8 episode period drama set in a brothel in 18th century Georgian London which is being co-produced by US SVOD service, TVWise has learned. Samantha Morton (Cider With Rosie), Lesley Manville (Maleficent) and Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey) are attached to star.

Hulu has released the first trailer for 11.22.63, their upcoming event series from veteran producer JJ Abrams which is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. 11.22.63 tells the story of Jake Epping, a high school English teacher who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, his falling in love and the past itself – which doesn’t want to be changed.

Aaron Paul has lined up his first regular TV job following the conclusion of Breaking Bad. The actor, who played Jesse Pinkman on all five seasons of the hit AMC series, has signed on to star in Parenthood creator Jason Katims' new Hulu series The Way.

Hulu Picks Up ‘The Mindy Project’ For Fourth Season

Mindy lives! Hulu has swooped in and picked up a fourth season of The Mindy Project, after Fox cancelled the Mindy Kaling fronted comedy series earlier this month. The streaming service has ordered 26 episodes for the show's fourth season, which is expected to be split into two runs.

The Mindy Project's time on Fox has come to an end. The network has cancelled the Universal Television produced comedy created by and starring The Office's Mindy Kaling after three seasons. That being said, Fox decision to cancel the comedy may not spell the end for The Mindy Project. Hulu is understood to be in talks with Universal Television to pick up The Mindy Project for a further two seasons, bringing it past the 100 episodes needed for syndication.
