Marvel Television's streak of bad luck is over. Hulu has picked up Marvel's Runaways for a third season. The streaming service has ordered ten episodes for season three, which is set to premiere later this year. 
Hulu has found their George Tenet. The streaming service has set Alec Baldwin (30 Rock, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as the controversial CIA Director in their upcoming ten episode 9/11 event series The Looming Tower, TVWise has learned. As DCI, Tenet is Richard Clarke's partner in fighting Al-Qaeda, though he may know more than he is letting on. 
Amazon Prime Video UK import The Path, fronted by former Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, has been renewed for a third season by U.S. streaming service Hulu, TVWise has learned. 13 episodes have been ordered for the show's third season. 
Hulu has renewed comedy series Difficult People for a third season, the streaming service announced on Monday. Ten episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is set to premiere in 2017. 
9/11 drama The Looming Tower, based on the book of the same name by Lawrence Wright, is close to securing a ten episode series order at streaming service Hulu. The series examines the chain of events that led to the September 11th terrorist attacks. Of particular focus is the rising threat of Bin Laden and the Al-Qaeda network throughout the 1990s and how dysfunction at the heart of government, the FBI and CIA prevented U.S. authorities from identifying and disrupting the attack. Hulu is the latest network to enter the Marvel universe. The streaming service has ordered a pilot plus additional scripts for Marvel's Runaways, an adaptation of the comic books which hails from Gossip Girl co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. 
Hulu has taken the exclusive SVOD rights to the recent Roots reboot after striking a wide-ranging deal with A+E Networks, the two companies announced on Tuesday. Roots will be available to stream on Hulu later this year. 
The rumours were true: CMT is indeed bringing Nashville back from the dead. The cable network has picked up a full 22 episode fifth season of the former ABC drama, it was announced on Friday. Additionally, long-time SVOD partner Hulu has come on-board for season five and will stream new episodes the day after they air on CMT.
