Julian Ovenden, Bobby Schofield, Sabrina Batlett & More Join History’s Knights Templar Drama ‘Knightfall’
History has locked down the core cast for Knightfall. Bobby Schofield (Black Sea), Sabrina Bartlett (DaVinci’s Demons), Julian Ovenden (The Assets), Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (The Bridge) Padraic Delaney (The Tudors), Simon Merrells (Dominion) and Olivia Ross (War & Peace) have signed on for starring roles in the ten episode drama series about the Knights Templar, TVWise has learned. 
Another executive shake-up is underway at A+E Networks. Dirk Hoogstra, who has been serving as the General Manager of History and H2 since 2013, is exiting his post effective immediately and will be replaced by current FYI and LMN President Jana Bennett, who has been named President and General Manager of History.
Craig Ferguson is returning to television. History has given the green-light to Join Or Die With Craig Ferguson, a new talk show format fronted by former host of The Late Late Show, TVWise has learned. The network has ordered sixteen episodes for the show's freshman run, which is set to premiere in 2016.
Several weeks after 
A&E, History and Lifetime have given the green-light to a remake of the iconic 1970s miniseries Roots, which has original star LeVar Burton on-board as a co-executive producer. The mini will be simulcast across all three networks in 2016.
History is adding another drama series to their development slate. The A+E Networks owned and operated cabler has put into development The Boys Of '67, an hour-long drama series set during the height of the Vietnam War.
