Grantchester has found its new Vicar. Tom Brittney (Outlander, Call the Midwife) has been set as the new co-lead in the ITV period drama. He replaces original star James Norton, who is exiting during the upcoming fourth season. "I am beyond excited. From the moment I heard about the role of Will Davenport, it was something I wanted more than anything", Tom Brittney said. "It’s a real honour to be joining such a wonderful series, with such a loyal fan base."

In somewhat unexpected news, one of the co-leads, James Norton, who plays Sidney Chambers, will be exiting Grantchester during the fourth season. Casting is underway for a new Vicar.

He will play Harding Redmond, a resident of Grantchester and grieving father whose teenage daughter Abigail is found dead in suspicious circumstances. Heartbroken and desperate to get to the bottom of what happened to Abigail, Harding accuses Sidney Chambers (James Norton) of having an inappropriate relationship with her.
