UKTV’s Gold Channel Orders ‘Dad’s Army’ Retrospective Series Fronted By Alexander Armstrong
Gold is celebrating the anniversary of Dad's Army. On the fiftieth anniversary of the show's very first episode, the UKTV owned and operated channel has ordered Saluting Dad's Army, a four episode retrospective series that is being fronted by Pointless host Alexander Armstrong. 
Following the runaway success of last year's Murder On The Blackpool Express, UKTV's Gold channel has given the greenlight to sequel film Death On The Tyne. Johnny Vegas and Sian Gibson are on-board to reprise their roles as Terry and Gemma, respectively. Death On The Tyne sees Terry and Gemma take Mildred and her care home friends, including Hilda and Colleen on an Amsterdam cruise adventure across the Tyne. They’re welcomed aboard the Empress of the Tyne by ageing lothario Captain Jack and his motley crew. It’s not long before things start to go awry in the most puzzling mystery the Tyne has ever seen.
The third season of Irish comedy series Bridget & Eamon will receive its UK premiere on UKTV’s Gold channel on Tuesday April 3rd at 10pm, it has been announced.
The second season of The Rebel will premiere on Gold on Wednesday November 8th at 10pm, it has been announced. 
The second season of Irish comedy series Bridget & Eamon will receive its UK premiere on UKTV's Gold channel on Friday May 12th at 11pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.
Gold's three-part original comedy series Henry IX will premiere on Wednesday April 5th at 9pm, it has been announced.
UKTV's Gold channel is adding to their burgeoning slate of original scripted comedies with a green-light for Murder On The Blackpool Express, a two-part comedic murder mystery set on a guided tour coach trip to Blackpool, from Hebburn scribe Jason Cook.
