FX has picked up Kurt Sutter's period drama pilot The Bastard Executioner to series with a 10 episode order. Production on the series gets underway this Summer in Wales for a fall 2015 premiere. 
FX is putting the finishing touches on the casting for American: Crime Story. Star Trek Into Darkness alum Bruce Greenwood has joined the new anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk as a series regular. He will play Gil Garcetti, the Los Angeles County District Attorney who prosecuted O.J. Simpson for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. 
After initially slating it for a Summer premiere when they announced the rest of their schedule, FX has announced that the second season of their Guillermo del Toro drama The Strain will kick off on Sunday July 12th at 10/9c. 
Selma Blair (Anger Management) has joined the cast of American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson, FX's 10 episode anthology series from American Horror Story executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. FX is getting in on the drug trade. The network has handed out a pilot order to Snowfall, a drama from award-winning filmmaker John Singleton which explores the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. 
FX has locked down another AHS veteran for American Horror Story: Hotel. Angela Bassett, who previously appeared in both AHS: Coven and AHS: Freak Show, has signed on to star in the show's 13 episode fifth season, which enters production later this Summer in LA for an October premiere. 
Jenny Slate (Married) and Ari Graynor (Bad Teacher) are set to star in a new single-camera comedy pilot for FX Networks which hails from Obvious Child's Elisabeth Holm and Gillian Robespierre. 
Frank Langella is not done with Philip and Elizabeth. After recurring on the third season of FX's 1980s set Cold War spy drama The Americans, the veteran actor has signed on to reprise his role on the show's recently ordered fourth season.
