It's the end of the road for the Al-Fayeed administration. FX has announced that their geo-political thriller series Tyrant is coming to an end with its current third season. The season three finale, which is set to air tonight on the cable network, will now serve as the series finale.

FX is officIally getting in on the comic-book craze. The cable network has picked up their Marvel pilot Legion, set in the world of the X-Men, to series with an eight episode order. Additionally, TVWise has exclusively learned that Fox Networks Group is circling the project and will serve as the global broadcaster for Legion in more than 120 territories, including the UK.

FX has handed out a two season renewal to their critically acclaimed Cold War spy drama The Americans, TVWise has learned. The network has ordered thirteen episodes for season five, and a further ten episodes for the sixth season, which will be the show's last. Season five will debut on FX in 2017, with the final season following in 2018.

FX has released the first full trailer for American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson, the ten episode first season of their new anthology series from American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy which is set to premiere on Tuesday February 2nd at 10/9c.

FXX has renewed comedy series You're The Worst, starring Chris Geere and Aya Cash, for a third season, TVWise has learned. There's no official word on the size of the pick-up, though TVWise understands that it will be for 13 episodes, matching the order for season two.

BBC One and FX have set the cast for their upcoming co-production Taboo. Michael Kelly (House Of Cards), Oona Chaplin (The Crimson Field), Jonathan Pryce (Game Of Thrones) and David Hayman (Macbeth) have signed on for co-starring roles opposite Tom Hardy (Peaky Blinders) in the eight period drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, TVWise has learned.
