Mitch Pileggi Closes Deal To Reprise Role On ‘X-Files’ Revival
It's official: Walter Skinner is coming back. Mitch Pileggi has inked a deal to reprise his iconic role as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner, which he originally played from the final episodes of the first season of X-Files through to the second feature film I Want To Believe, in Fox upcoming six episode limited series X-Files revival, sources have confirmed to TVWise.

Fox is sticking with Zooey Deschanel and co. Ahead of the series' return to the network's prime-time schedule this evening, Fox has renewed single-camera comedy New Girl for a fifth season, TVWise has learned.

The X-Files revival is one step closer to becoming a reality. Fox is close to giving an official green-light to a limited series revival of their iconic science fiction series which aired between 1993 and 2002. Per sources, the network has settled on a "short-stack" order in the range of six to eight episodes and talks with their sister studio 20th Century Fox Television are on-going.
ITV and Fox have reportedly landed a new drama series about the unlikely friendship between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini. The two broadcasters, as well as Canada's Shaw Media, have handed out a 10 episode straight-to-series order to Houdini and Doyle, a drama about the two men investigating supernatural crimes which hails from House showrunner David Shore and Sony Pictures Television.
