FX Picks Up Marvel Drama ‘Legion’ To Series, Fox Networks Group Circling For Global Rollout
FX is officIally getting in on the comic-book craze. The cable network has picked up their Marvel pilot Legion, set in the world of the X-Men, to series with an eight episode order. Additionally, TVWise has exclusively learned that Fox Networks Group is circling the project and will serve as the global broadcaster for Legion in more than 120 territories, including the UK. 
Fox International Channels is handing Jeff Ford and expanded role. The former TV3 and Channel 5 executive, who has been serving as Managing Director of Fox International Channels UK for the better part of six months, has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice-President of Content Development for Europe & Africa, TVWise has learned.
Fox International Channels UK are gearing up to launch a new Freeview channel. The company, who operate such channel brands as FOX UK and National Geographic here in the UK, has announced plans to launch free-to-air entertainment channel YourTV. The channel will be available on a range of platforms and will launch on Thursday October 1st at 1pm.
Atticus Ross is boarding Outcast. The award winning composer has signed on to score The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's new drama series, which is set to premiere on HBO's sister network Cinemax in 2016. The series will also get a day-and-date release across Fox International Channels' FOX branded channels in more than 120 countries, including the UK.
