Thanyia Moore, Dave Spikey & Ben Willbond Join BBC Two’s ‘Alma’s Not Normal’
Thanyia Moore (The Duchess, Jamie Johnson), Dave Spikey (Phoenix Nights) and Ben Willbond (Ghosts, Yonderland) have joined the cast of BBC Two's Alma's Not Normal for its first full season. They join a cast that includes series creator Sophie Willan, Siobhan Finneran (Happy Valley, Downton Abbey), Lorraine Ashbourne (The Crown, Cheat), Jayde Adams (Crazy Delicious), James Baxter (Still Open All Hours, Emmerdale) and Nicholas Asbury (Doctor Who, Chewing Gum). 
Danny Boy will premiere on BBC Two on Wednesday May 12th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Expectation has optioned the rights to Njambi McGrath’s memoir Through The Leopard’s Gaze with plans to develop it as a scripted comedy. The indie acquired the rights from Emily Sweet of Emily Sweet Associates.
In My Skin is crossing the pond. Hulu has acquired the BBC Three and BBC Wales' dark comedy series after striking a deal with international distributor BBC Studios. In My Skin will premiere state-side on the streaming service on Thursday June 4th.
After airing the broadcast pilot earlier this month, BBC Two has handed out a series order to Alma's Not Normal. The show's first season will consist of six episodes, with one of said episodes being the pilot.
Tom Brittney (Outlander), Amanda Abbington (Sherlock), Aiysha Hart (Atlantis), Nina Sosanya (Killing Eve), Emma Rigby (Once Upon A Time In Wonderland), Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge (Enterprice) and Tilly Keeper (EastEnders) have been tapped to star in BBC Three's Make Me Famous.
Siobhan Finneran (Happy Valley, Downton Abbey), Lorraine Ashbourne (The Crown, Cheat), Jayde Adams (Crazy Delicious) and James Baxter (Still Open all Hours, Emmerdale) have been tapped to star opposite Sophie Willan in BBC Two's comedy pilot Alma's Not Normal.
Sky One has handed out renewals to original series COBRA, Intelligence, and Brassic. COBRA and Intelligence will return for second seasons, while Brassic has been picked up for season three. COBRA and Intelligence have received six episode orders, while Brassic's order is for eight episodes.
