Russell Tovey (Looking, Years And Years) has been set as the lead in Because The Night, ITV's four-part supernatural thriller from Luther creator Neil Cross that is inspired by his novel Burial. "Because the Night is going to challenge me as an actor more than I’ve ever been challenged before", Russell Tovey said in a statement. Killian Scott (Strike) and Sarah Greene (Penny Dreadful) have been set as the leads in Dublin Murders, BBC One's eight episode drama series which is based on the Dublin Murder Sqaud novels by Tana French. U.S. basic cable network TNT had originally been set to co-produce Dublin Murders alongside BBC One and RTÉ, but they are no longer involved and instead U.S. premium cable network Starz has boarded as the U.S. partner. TVWise has reached out to TNT for comment on their decision to exit the project.
Waleed Zuaiter, Bertie Carvel, Clara Khoury, Leem Lubany, Neil Maskell, Corey Stoll, Charlotte Spencer, July Namir, Tawfeek Barhom, Youssef Kerkour, Hisham Suleiman, Nora El Koussour and Maisa Abd Elhadi have been tapped to star in Channel 4's Elliott Colla adaptation Baghdad Central.
