Ransom is crossing the Atlantic. The hostage crisis series from former The X-Files writer and executive producer Frank Spotnitz and David Vainola, which airs state-side on CBS, has been acquired for UK broadcast by Universal Channel, TVWise has learned. 
Sky Living has acquired ABC's legal thriller Conviction, starring Agent Carter's Hayley Atwell, after striking a deal with international distributor Entertainment One, TVWise has learned. The series is set to premiere on Sky Living in November. 
ABC is staging a 24 reunion. Mykelti Williamson, who starred in the eighth season of the Fox counter-terrorism drama as the Director of CTU New York, has been tapped for a recurring role in Kiefer Sutherland's new ABC series Designated Survivor He will play Admiral Chernow, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who quickly becomes one of President Kirkman’s (Sutherland) most trusted advisers. 
Private Eyes, which was recently picked up for UK broadcast by Universal Channel, has been renewed by Canadian broadcaster Global for a second season. The network has ordered 18 episodes for season two, nearly double the ten episodes that comprised season one. Universal Channel has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Canadian drama series Private Eyes, starring Jason Priestley (Beverly Hills, 90210) after striking a deal with international distributor Entertainment One (eOne), TVWise has learned. 
AT&T's Audience Network has handed out a ten episode straight to series order to Ice, a drama series about the treacherous and colorful world of diamond traders in downtown Los Angeles from independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) and Antoine Fuqua’s Fuqua Films, TVWise has learned. 
FOX UK has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to six-part miniseries Someone Knows My Name, starring Aunjanue Ellis (The Mentalist), after striking a deal with Entertainment One (eOne), TVWise has learned. The miniseries is set to premiere on FOX UK on Sunday July 17th at 9pm.
