Universal TV Import ‘Ransom’ Renewed For Third Season
Ransom - the international drama series from Frank Spotnitz's Big Light Productions - has been renewed for a third season by commissioning partners Global and CBS. The series is distributed internationally by Entertainment One (eOne) and airs on this side of the pond on Universal TV. 
Entertainment One (eOne) is teaming up with Skins creator Bryan Elsey and the team behind BBC Three's People Just Do Nothing - Steve Stamp, Allan Mustafa and Jack Clough - to develop new VR themed international comedy series GARY1987. The series is set in the world of virtual reality and tells the story of unemployed Gary, a VR novice, who enters the VR world initially to make money and ends up way over his head. 
E4 has acquired the exclusive UK rights to Pop TV's comedy series Let's Get Physical after striking a deal with international distributor Entertainment One (eOne). The series will premiere on E4 on Thursday May 3rd at 9:30pm.
Channel 5 has agreed a deal with Entertainment One (eOne) to secure UK rights to Canadian procedural The Detail and second window rights to ABC's Designated Survivor. This marks the second UK deal for Designated Survivor. Netflix UK
Entertainment One (eOne) is adding an executive to their ranks. The independent studio has brought on-board DRG executive Noel Hedges to serve in the newly created position of Executive Vice-President of Acquisitions, eOne Television. Hedges, who starts with the company in September, will be based in eOne’s London office and will oversee teams in both the big smoke and Toronto.
