The CW Renews ‘The Outpost’ For Second Season

The CW has handed out a second season renewal to fantasy series The Outpost, which hails from Dean Devlin and his independent production company Electric Entertainment. The show's second season is expected to premiere in 2019. Through a wide-ranging multi-territory deal between NBCUniversal International Networks and Electric Entertainment, SYFY UK holds first window rights to The Outpost. It has been a ratings success for the genre channel, with episodes averaging a consolidated average audience of just under 200k viewers.

UKTV’s Drama Channel Acquires PBS’ U.S. Civil War Drama ‘Mercy Street’

PBS first original scripted series in more than a decade is crossing the Atlantic. UKTV's Drama channel has secured the exclusive UK rights to Mercy Street, the U.S. public broadcaster's scripted drama series from Ridley Scott which is set during the American Civil War, after striking a deal with the distribution division of Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment, TVWise has confirmed. The show's six episode first season is set to premiere on Drama in May.
