Syfy has renewed their original drama series Dark Matter and Killjoys for third seasons, the network announced on Thursday. Dark Matter has scored a thirteen episode order, while the size of the pick-up for Killjoys is staying at ten episodes.
The second season of Dark Matter will receive its UK premiere on Syfy UK on Monday July 4th at 8pm, it has been announced.
Syfy is keeping most of its Friday night block in-tact. The network has renewed Killjoys and Dark Matter for second seasons. Dark Matter's renewal is for a further thirteen episodes, while Killjoys will be back for a second season of ten episodes.
After registering marginal growth in its second week, Syfy UK's Dark Matter slipped slightly in the ratings with its third episode. The third outing of the sci-fi series, which originally aired on Monday June 29th, pulled in an average consolidated audience of 359K viewers. That is down by some 34K viewers or 9% on the 393K viewers who watched the previous episode. It is also down slightly on the 376K who tuned into the series premiere last month.
