Some four months after the show's second season debuted, Netflix has officially pulled the trigger on a third season renewal for their first Marvel original series Daredevil. The streaming service has also released a teaser trailer for Marvel's Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones.

Marvel and Netflix have found their Elektra. Elodie Yung, who most recently starred in ABC's drama pilot Of Kings & Prophets, has signed on to play the character in the 13 episode second season of Daredevil. First mentioned in the show's first season, Elektra is described as mysterious woman from Matt Murdock’s past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle.

Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Mob City) has joined the cast of Netflix's Marvel series Daredevil for its upcoming 13 episode second season as a series regular. He will play The Punisher, one of Marvel’s most popular characters, he is a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.

Claire Temple is returning to Hells Kitchen. Rosario Dawson has inked a new deal with Marvel Television and ABC Studios to reprise her role as Claire Temple on the recently ordered second season of Marvel's Daredevil. In addition, the new talent deal the actress has signed could potentially segue to other Marvel series on Netflix.

Less than two weeks after releasing the first season, Netflix has renewed Marvel's Daredevil for a 13 second season which is set to air globally on the streaming service in 2016. In addition, Steven S. DeKnight has stepped down as showrunner and will be replaced by Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez on season two.

Ray Donovan executive producer Cheo Hodari Coker has been set as the executive producer and showrunner on Luke Cage, Netflix's third original Marvel series to come out of a bumper deal between the streaming service, Marvel and Disney.
