It’s Official: Taylor Lautner Exits BBC Three’s ‘Cuckoo’ Ahead Of Season 5
BBC Three's Cuckoo is changing leads once again. Taylor Lautner (Twilight) has exited the series ahead of its fifth season. He first joined the show for season two back in 2014, when original star Andy Samberg exited due to his commitment to the Fox-turned-NBC comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Lautner's character Dale left Lichfield as the end of the show's fourth season after he and Rachel left to go travelling to Sierra Leone. Andie MacDowell has been set as the new lead for the series. She will play Ivy, the sister Ken never knew he had.
The fifth season of Cuckoo will premiere on BBC Three on Friday January 4th, when the complete season will be available to stream.
The fourth season of Cuckoo will premiere on BBC Three on Thursday August 2nd from 10am, when all six episodes will be available.
BBC Three has renewed off-beat comedy Cuckoo for a third season, the BBC announced today. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is set to air in 2016. Twilight star Taylor Lautner is returning to reprise his role as series lead Dale, while other returning cast members include Greg Davies, Helen Baxendale, Tyger Drew Honey, Esther Smith and Matt Lacey.
