5USA Acquires CBS’ ‘Training Day’ Reboot & NBC’s ‘Taken’

5USA is adding two U.S. scripted dramas to their slate. The Channel 5 owned digi-net has agreed separate deals with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution and NBCUniversal Television Distribution for first run rights to CBS' short-lived Training Day reboot and free-to-air rights to NBC's Taken prequel series.

Channel 5 Audience Share Grows To 6.51% In 2017

2017 was a great year for Channel 5. The Viacom owned broadcaster's portfolio of channels delivered an audience share of 6.51%, up 5% year-on-year - representing the largest year-on-year audience growth of any terrestrial broadcaster portfolio during 2017 and C5's strongest overall ratings performance for 13 years.

Channel 5 Scraps My5, Premium Channel 5Prime To Launch In Its Place

Less than two years after they scrapped their 24 hour time-shift service (Channel 5+24) to launch a linear My5 service, Channel 5 is scrapping the My5 channel to launch 5PRIME. The new channel will launch as of January 16th. While My5 is being scraped as a channel, it will remain as an on-demand catch up and box set service across all major platforms.

Channel 5 Acquires NBC’s ‘Will & Grace’ Revival, UK Premiere Set For January 5th

Will & Grace is returning to the UK. Channel 5 has secured the exclusive UK rights to the revival series after striking a deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution. The sixteen episode revival, also known as the ninth season of Will & Grace, will premiere on Channel 5 on Friday January 5th at 10pm.

Channel 5, A+E Networks UK Agree My5 Distribution Deal

In what is being hailed as a "first" for a British commercial PSB, Channel 5 has agreed a distribution deal with A+E Networks UK which will see content from A+E's FTA channel Blaze made available on My5.
