Nicholas Ralph Set As Lead In Channel 5’s ‘All Creatures Great And Small’

Channel 5 has found their James Herriot. Newcomer Nicholas Ralph has been set as the lead in their new take on All Creatures Great And Small. Samuel West (Mr. Selfridge), Anna Madeley (Patrick Melrose), Callum Woodhouse (The Durrells) and Rachel Shenton (White Gold) have also been cast in the series.

Australian drama The Hunting will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Monday September 30th at 10pm and will then air daily in the same time-slot, it has been announced.

Channel 5 Orders Two ‘Agatha & The Truth Of Murder’ Follow Ups

Channel 5 has ordered two follow ups to last year's Agatha & The Truth & Murder. The two new feature-length dramas, inspired by the life of Agatha Christie, are Agatha And The Curse Of Ishtar and Agatha And The Death Of X. It is not immediately clear if Ruth Bradley (Humans) will reprise her role as Agatha Christie.

Channel 5 Orders Greg Wallace Travelogue ‘Weekend Breaks’

Channel 5 has handed out a four episode series order to Weekend Breaks With Greg Wallace, a travelogue series which sees Wallace exploring various cities in search of the ideal weekend away. Weekend Breaks With Greg Wallace takes him across Europe where he visits Rome, Amsterdam, Berlin and Barcelona. In each city he’ll be experiencing the culture, exploring the history and, of course, indulging in the local cuisine.

‘Blood’ Renewed For Second Season, Channel 5 Back As UK Broadcaster

Blood is returning. Virgin Media Television in Ireland has renewed the Adrian Dunbar fronted series for a six episode second season. Channel 5, who acquired the show's first season, is confirmed to be returning as the UK broadcaster for season two.

DCD Rights Sells Australian Dramas ‘My Life Is Murder’ To UKTV’s Alibi & ‘The Hunting’ To Channel 5

DCD Rights has secured UK deals for two new Australian dramas. The international distributor has licensed crime drama My Life Is Murder to UKTV's Alibi channel and four-part drama The Hunting to Channel 5. The deal for My Life Is Murder was negotiated by UKTV's Acquisitions Manager Charlie Charalambous, while Channel 5's Acquisitions Director Anna-Belen Dunlop secured The Hunting for the broadcaster's prime-time schedule. Both series will premiere later this year.
