Channel 5 Acquires UK Rights To ABC’s ‘Dirty Dancing’ Reboot
ABC's Dirty Dancing reboot is coming to the UK. Channel 5 has secured the exclusive UK broadcast rights to the three-hour TV movie/special after agreeing a deal with international distributor Lionsgate Television, TVWise has learned. 

The Kennedys follow up Decline And Fall (AKA After Camelot) will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Monday May 29th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Close to six years after the show was cancelled by NBC, Channel 5 has struck a deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution to acquire the short-lived Los Angeles set Law & Order spin-off Law & Order: LA for their digi-net 5USA, TVWise has learned.
NCIS: New Orleans will return to Channel 5 to finish airing its second season from Saturday October 1st at 8pm, it has been announced. In the next new episode, titled Undocumented, the NCIS team investigate the apparent suicide of an immigrant Petty Officer.
Channel 5 is set to scrap their 24 hour time-shift service (Channel 5+24) and will launch My5, the brand of company's on-demand service, as a linear free-to-air channel in its place. As a free-to-air channel, My5 will serve as a supplement to Channel 5's on-demand service of the same name and will take content from the VOD portal, which houses content from Channel 5's portfolio of channels (Channel 5, 5Star, 5USA and Spike UK).
Following a heated bidding war, involving multiple UK broadcasters, Spike UK has struck a deal with international distributor Sky Vision for exclusive UK rights to ABC's rebooted Battlebots, TVWise has learned. The 'substantial' multi-season deal with Sky Vision will also see Spike UK share rights with sister net Channel 5. Battlebots will initally air on Spike UK this Summer, before airing on Channel 5 at a later date.
Channel 5 has ordered Secrets Of The SAS: In Their Own Words, a four part factual series about the UK's elite special forces group, from Tony Jordan's independent production company Red Planet Pictures, TVWise has learned.
