Channel 4 is doubling down on Catastrophe. The broadcaster has handed out a two-season renewal to the hit comedy series from Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney, TVWise has learned. 12 episodes have been ordered, which will be split evenly across the show's third and fourth seasons. Channel 4 has ordered The Disabled Dangerous Sports Club, a one-off film that follows a group of people with disabilities determined to push themselves to the limit, TVWise has learned. The Disabled Dangerous Sports Club follows four disabled people, led by Bazza (AKA The Chair Devil), as they tackle some of the more adrenaline fueled sports now open to disabled people, such as Bungee jumping, sky diving and waterskiing. After a months long search to replace Poly Hill, the BBC has poached Channel 4's Head of Drama Piers Wenger to serve as their new Controller of Drama Commissioning, TVWise has learned. Meanwhile, over at Channel 4, the broadcaster has tapped Wenger's number two, Deputy Head of Drama Beth Willis, to succeed him as their Head of Drama when he departs later this year.
