After rumours about the project reached a fever pitch yesterday, Channel 4 has confirmed that they are bringing The Crystal Maze back to TV in the form of a one-off special for Stand Up To Cancer. Contrary to said rumours, however, David Tennant is not involved; with Stephen Merchant having been set as host. Channel 4 has given the green-light to Derry Girls, a six episode comedy series set in the 1990s in Derry, Northern Ireland in the run up to the ceasefire. The series explores the lives of ordinary people living under the spectre of the Troubles, all seen through the eyes of a local teenager.
