Channel 4 Renews ‘The Circle’ For Second Season

Channel 4 has renewed their reality game-show The Circle for a second season. The broadcaster has ordered an "expanded" second season that will include a weekly live episode. The official pick up comes after the first season ranked as Channel 4’s youngest profiling show since 2012, with an average of 49.4% profile of 16-24s; and the biggest new original commission launch since 2012, with over 10 million views. Netflix also recently boarded the format and ordered three international versions.

Channel 4 Renews ‘Stath Lets Flats’ For Second Season

Channel 4 has renewed their comedy series Stath Lets Flats for a second season. The renewal, which is for a further six episodes, comes more than five months after the show's first season wrapped its run on the channel. Season two is expected to premiere later this year.

Channel 4 Inks Turner Deal For UK Rights To ‘Rick & Morty’, Creates Adult Swim Block On E4

Channel 4 has inked a bumper deal with Turner that gives them the exclusive UK rights to the fourth season of Rick & Morty. The agreement also gives the broadcaster rights to hundreds of hours of Adult Swim content. The first three seasons of Rick & Morty will get their free-to-air premiere on E4 from next month, while the show's fourth season will air on Channel 4 later in the year.

Channel 4 Releases Trailer For ‘Pure’

Channel 4 has released the trailer for Pure, their new drama series based on Rose Cartwright’s memoir. Penned by Kirstie Swain, Pure follows twenty-four year old Marnie, who has ‘bad’ thoughts all the time and she can’t tell anyone. Her mind is XXX-rated and intrusive thoughts are piling up inside her head. It turns out she’s actually caught in the grip of an excruciating type of obsessive compulsive disorder where her obsessions take the form of intrusive thoughts, often sexual, and the compulsions are unseen mental rituals that deeply affect her daily life.
