The producers forged a relationship with Dacre when working on the 2018 documentary Stephen: The Murder That Changed A Nation. In this three-parter Dacre will share his unique insights into the events and the people who defined the front page of his newspaper.

Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Tamsin Greig (Episodes) David Oyelowo (Les Miserables) David Walliams (Little Britain), Paul Whitehouse (Mortimer And Whitehouse: Gone Fishing) and newcomer Clara Ross are set to star in their animated Judith Kerr adaptation.
