Katherine Heigl To Topline CBS Drama Pilot ‘Doubt’
CBS has found the new lead for Doubt. State Of Affairs alum Katherine Heigl has signed on to star in the hour-long drama pilot, which is being re-worked and re-shot after it was produced last development cycle and came very close to scoring a series order. Heigl replaces KaDee Strickland, who was the lead in the first pilot. 
CBS is re-teaming with NCIS star Mark Harmon for a new drama series. The network has handed out a script commitment to The Red Circle, a Navy Seals drama from Harmon which is based on Brandon Webb and John David Mann's book The Red Circle: My Life In The Navy SEAL Sniper Corps And How I Trained America's Deadliest Marksmen.
Well that didn't take long. A little over a week after the project was taken out to the networks, Warner Bros. Television's Training Day TV project has landed a CBS with a hefty pilot production commitment.
CBS is re-teaming with The Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King for a new drama series. The network has handed out a 13 episode straight-to-series order to BrainDead, a "comic-thriller" from the duo which is being described as The West Wing meets The Strain.

She will play Jane Fellows, Henry's (Tim Daly) new Defense Intelligence Agency handler, who is a commanding yet discreet political operator known for keeping cool in a crisis and who may not always see eye to eye with him.
Madeline Albright, who served as the first female US Secretary of State during President Clinton's second term in office from 1997-2001, has been tapped for a guest starring role on the second season of CBS' State Department drama Madam Secretary. The former SecState will play herself in an episode, which is set to air this Fall on CBS. In the episode Albright advises Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (Téa Leoni) on how to navigate a sticky situation with National Security Advisor Craig Sterling (Julian Acosta), that is threatening to fracture her relationship with President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine).
The Americans and The Millers star Margo Martindale has joined the cast of The Good Wife in a recurring role for its upcoming seventh season. She will play Willa Eastman, a top campaign operative responsible for past successes by underdog presidential candidates in Iowa who hides her intelligence and cunning
CBS is continuing the cast shake-up on The Good Wife. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural) has boarded the legal drama as a series regular for its upcoming seventh season and will be something of a replacement for Archie Panjabi, who exited the show last season. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is currently starring on the second season of CBS' Halle Berry starrer Extant, will play Alex, a calm, experienced hourly investigator whom Alicia (Julianna Margulies) hires for her fledgling law firm.
