Denise Welch (Benidorm), Rebecca Root (Normal) and Harry Hepple (Misfits) have been tapped to play the three leads in the six episode comedy 'Boy Meets Girl', which has been hailed by BBC Two as the country’s first transgender sitcom, TVWise has learned.

BBC Two has greenlit Stonemouth, a two-part adaptation of the Iain Banks’ novel; and 'Boy Meets Girl', a new comedy series which is being described as "Britain's first transgender sitcom". The channel also announced plans to move Jack Whitehall's 'Back Chat' from BBC Three to BBC Two, as well as commissioning 'The Javone Prince Show' and a pair of factual shows.
