FX has handed out a fourth season renewal to Better Things. The comedy series - co-created, produced by and starring Pamela Adlon - will return in 2020. No word on the size of the episode order. “I am humbled, grateful and excited to tackle another season of stories and continue my creative partnership with my fearless FX team”, Adlon said.

In what is undoubtedly the BBC's biggest move in U.S. scripted acquisitions in years, they have inked a content partnership (effectively an output deal) with FX Networks that will make the Beeb the UK home to all future FX original comedy and drama series.

FX has renewed their hit vampire drama The Strain for a 13 episode third season, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf announced during the company's executive panel at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. The network has also picked up two new comedy series and set premiere dates for 'The Bastard Executioner', 'American Horror Story: Hotel' and the second season of 'Fargo'.

FX Networks has given the greenlight to Better Things, a half hour comedy pilot which hails from Pamela Adlon and Louie creator Louis C.K, its was announced yesterday at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.
