BBC Two has renewed their period gangster drama Peaky Blinders for an additional two seasons, TVWise has learned. Elsewhere, the channel has also given the green-light to The Boy With The Topknot, an adaptation of the memoir of the same name by Sathnam Sanghera. 
French period drama Versailles - which has already drawn the scorn of certain right wing media outlets - will receive its UK premiere on BBC Two on Wednesday June 1st at 9:30pm, it has been announced.

EXCLUSIVE: The Beeb has zeroed in on their next literary adaptation. The BBC has put into development The Secret Rooms, an adaptation of the gothic novel of the same name by Catherine Bailey, TVWise has learned exclusively. Sources tell TVWise that the project is in development for BBC Two, though I have yet to hear confirmation on that. Representatives of the BBC did not immediately respond to TVWise's requests for comment.
