Netflix Boards BBC Two’s ‘The Last Kingdom’ As Co-Producer

Netflix has come on-board The Last Kingdom, BBC Two's period drama based on the Bernard Cornwell novels, as co-producer and will now air the series in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Japan, Spain and Portugal. The streaming service replaces BBC America who served as a co-producer and the US broadcast partner for the show's debut season last year.
