BBC Two Renews ‘Defending The Guilty’ For Second Season
BBC Two has handed out a second season renewal to legal comedy Defending The Guilty. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's second season. The renewal comes shortly after season one wrapped its run on BBC Two. The series premiere has has consolidated across 28 days to amass an audience of 1.5 million viewers and a 9.2 percent audience share. That represents an increase of 31 percent on BBC Two's Tuesday night slot average. 
BBC Two has handed out a six episode series order to The Witchfinder, a comedy series about a witchfinder and his suspect on a road-free road trip through an England gripped by civil war, famine and plague. Tim Key (Brassic) and Daisy May Cooper (This Country) are attached to star. 

After piloting the project earlier this year, BBC Two has handed out a six episode series order to their Lee Mack fronted real-time comedy Semi-Detached. The series follows a perennial loser called Stuart (Lee Mack) as his life goes down the pan in a suburban cul-de-sac. Ellie White, Neil Fitzmaurice, Clive Russell, Samantha Spiro, Sarah Hoare and Patrick Baladi also star.
Giri/Haji will premiere on BBC Two on Thursday October 17th at 9pm, it has been announced.
