BBC Two Renews ‘Defending The Guilty’ For Second Season

BBC Two has handed out a second season renewal to legal comedy Defending The Guilty. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's second season. The renewal comes shortly after season one wrapped its run on BBC Two. The series premiere has has consolidated across 28 days to amass an audience of 1.5 million viewers and a 9.2 percent audience share. That represents an increase of 31 percent on BBC Two's Tuesday night slot average.

The series follows a perennial loser called Stuart (Lee Mack) as his life goes down the pan in a suburban cul-de-sac. Ellie White, Neil Fitzmaurice, Clive Russell, Samantha Spiro, Sarah Hoare and Patrick Baladi also star.
