The fate of BBC Three has been sealed. More than a year after the BBC announced plans to shutter BBC Three as a linear TV channel and move it online, the corporation's regulator has "provisionally approved" the proposals, whilst also imposing a number of conditions. 
Comedian Romesh Ranganathan is set to travel to Sri Lanka to examine his roots for a six episode entertainment series, which will air on BBC Three later this year. 
BBC Three has renewed off-beat comedy Cuckoo for a third season, the BBC announced today. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is set to air in 2016. Twilight star Taylor Lautner is returning to reprise his role as series lead Dale, while other returning cast members include Greg Davies, Helen Baxendale, Tyger Drew Honey, Esther Smith and Matt Lacey. After piloting the project last year as part of the Comedy Feed initiative, BBC Three has picked up Tom Rosenthal and Naz Osmanoglu's comedy project Flat TV to series with a four episode order. 
BBC Three will not be acquiring the ten episode fourth and final season of FX's comedy series Wilfred from international distributor Twentieth Century Fox International Television Distribution, TVWise has learned exclusively. 
BBC Three's new drama series Tatau will premiere on Sunday April 12th at 10pm, it has been announced. 
It's Official: the BBC has lost the rights to Family Guy. Rival broadcaster ITV has poached the exclusive first run rights to the animated comedy for their digi-channel ITV2 as part of a wide-ranging deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution which gives ITV the rights to all of Seth MacFarlane's animated series. 
The third season of BBC Three's comedy series Bluestone 42 will premiere on Sunday March 8th at 10pm, it has been announced.
