BBC One has handed out an early sixth season renewal to hit period drama Call The Midwife, TVWise has learned. The renewal, which comes more than a months before the fifth season is set to premiere, is for a Christmas Special in 2016 and 8 episodes, which will air in early 2017. 
The fifth season of BBC One's drama series Death In Paradise will premiere on Thursday January 7th at 9pm, it has been announced. 
BBC One has released a trailer for their half-hour Stick Man adaptation, which is set to premiere on Christmas Day (Friday December 25th) at 4:45pm. 
BBC One has released the first trailer for their upcoming three-part Agatha Christie adaptation And Then There Were None, which is set to premiere on Boxing Day (Saturday December 26th) at 9pm, with the remaining two parts airing on Sunday December 27th and Monday December 28th in the same time-slot. 
BBC One has released the trailer for this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Husbands Of River Song, which is set to premiere on Christmas Day (Friday December 25th) at 5:15pm.
