The Great British Bake Off is getting the festive treatment. BBC One has ordered a pair of Christmas themed specials, titled The Great Christmas Bake Off, which will air this December, TVWise has confirmed. 
BBC One's three-part drama The Secret Agent will premiere on Sunday July 17th at 9pm, it has been announced. 
After months of rumours, BBC One has confirmed that they have renewed their hit Poldark reboot for a third season, set to air in 2017. Ten episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, matching the order for season two. 
BBC One has released the trailer for their three-part drama The Secret Agent - starring Toby Jones (Wayward Pines), Vicky McClure (Line Of Duty) and Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire). 
BBC One has given the green-light to Three Girls, a three-part drama about the Rochdale abuse scandal, TVWise has learned. Three Girls is based on the experiences of the girls who were groomed in Rochdale in the five years between 2008 and 2012, for which nine men were convicted and sentenced. The drama explores how these girls were groomed, how they were ignored by the authorities directly responsible for protecting them, and how they eventually made themselves heard. Morven Christie (The A Word, Hunted) and Vicky McClure (Line Of Duty, This Is England) have been set as the leads in BBC One's three-part psychological thriller The Replacement, which hails from Left Bank Pictures and Joe Ahearne, TVWise has learned. 
BBC One's Death In Paradise is coming a little closer to home. The hit Carribean set murder mystery is set to shoot a two-part special from the upcoming eight episode sixth season in the UK, TVWise has learned. Additionally, Sally Bretton, who guest starred last season as DI Humphrey's love interest Martha Lloyd, has been upped to series regular. 
Babou Ceesay (AD: The Bible Continues, National Treasure) and Wunmi Mosaku (Capital, Scott & Bailey) have been set as the leads in Our Loved Boy, BBC One's feature-length Damilola Taylor drama, TVWise has learned.
