Jonathan Creek is returning to BBC One. The corporation's flagship channel has ordered a one-off 90 minute special, in which Jonathan Creek will find himself in "real danger". Alan Davies and Sarah Alexander are both on-board to reprise their roles as Jonathan Creek and Polly Creek, respectively. 
BBC One has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming the fourth season of Sherlock, which is set to hit screens in early 2017. BBC One is re-teaming with Andrew Davies, who most recently penned the channel's six-part War & Peace event series, for an adaptation of Victor Hugo's Les Misérables, TVWise has learned. 
BBC One is moving forward with an adaptation of The Moonstone, more than four years after they first announced that they would be bringing the Wilkie Collins novel to the small screen. John Thomson (Cold Feet) and Sarah Hadland (The Job Lot) lead the cast as Sergeant Cuff and Miss Clack, respectively. BBC One is set to explore two inter-twined gay love stories in a new two-part drama titled Man In An Orange Shirt, from British novelist Patrick Gale and Broadchurch indie Kudos Film & Television. 
BBC One has released a first look image from the upcoming fourth season of Sherlock. The image in question shows lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch in character as Sherlock Holmes as he consults a canine companion. The BBC said the image come from the first episode from season four. 
Change is ahead for BBC One's hit entertainment series Strictly Come Dancing. Len Goodman, who has been on the show since it launched in 2004, is exiting as Head Judge at the end of the upcoming fourteenth season, TVWise has learned. "This adventure began when I was 60 and now that I’ve reached my 70s, I’ve decided after this year it’s time to hand the role of Head Judge to someone else", Goodman said in a statement.
