BBC One has set their daytime factual slate for this coming autumn. The BBC's flagship channel has commissioned five factual series including Home Front Heroes, a series in which Sue Johnston, Larry Lamb, Radzi Chinyanganya, Tanni Grey-Thompson and Helen Lederer will relive the wartime experiences of a close family member. 
Dan Sefton is proving to be one of the most prolific British TV writers of recent memory. The scribe - who has The Good Karma Hospital at ITV, Porters at UKTV's Dave channel, Trust Me at BBC One, and Delicious at Sky One - has set a new project with the BBC. The Mallorca Files, about a British and German detective clashing over their very different approaches to policing the island, has been green-lit at the Beeb for BBC One's daytime schedule. The show's ten episode first season will be made available in its entirety on the BBC iPlayer on the same day the first episode premieres on BBC One. 
BBC One has released a first look image of John Malkovich in character as Hercule Poirot in their upcoming three-part Agatha Christie adaptation The ABC Murders. The ABC Murders is set in 1930s Britain and follows Poirot as he faces a serial killer known only as A.B.C. As the murder count rises, the only clue is the copy of The ABC Railway Guide at each crime scene. Poirot’s investigations are thwarted at every turn by an enemy determined to outsmart him. If Poirot is to match his nemesis then everything about him will be called into question; his authority, his integrity, his past, his identity. 
Rev. star Tom Hollander has signed on for a starring role on BBC One's recently ordered The Missing spin-off Baptiste, which hails from Harry and Jack Williams. He will play Edward. "I am very excited to be working with Harry and Jack Williams", Tom Hollander said in a statement. "They are brilliant storytellers of nuance and suspense." Hollander is only the second confirmed cast member. He joins Tchéky Karyo, who played titular character Julien Baptiste in both seasons of The Missing and is on-board to reprise his role in the spin-off. 
Fresh off of the conclusion of his three-part A Very English Scandal adaptation, BBC One and former Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies are teaming together once again for new drama series Years And Years, which charts the lives of a single family over 15 years in a Britain rocked by unstable political, economic and technological advances. 
The fourth season of Poldark will premiere on BBC One on Sunday June 10th at 9pm, it has been announced.
