BBC One has released a trailer for their upcoming legal thriller The Victim. The Victim is a legal thriller set in Scotland that is told through the eyes of both the plaintiff and the accused. On one side is Craig Myers, a hard working family man who is the victim of a vicious attack, after being identified online as a notorious child murderer. Is he simply the tragic victim of mistaken identity; or the dangerous killer he is suspected of being?

BBC One has released a first look image from their upcoming legal thriller The Victim. The Victim is a legal thriller set in Edinburgh that is told through the eyes of both the plaintiff and the accused. On one side is Craig Myers, a hard working family man from Greenock who becomes the victim of a vicious attack after being branded online as a notorious child murderer living under a new identity. Is he simply the tragic victim of mistaken identity, or the convicted murderer he’s suspected of being? On the side is Anna Dean, the Edinburgh mother of a nine year old boy who was murdered fifteen years ago by a then thirteen year old. Having campaigned to be told of the killer’s new identity and whereabouts, she is accused of revealing his new name online.

The Barking Murders will go beneath the headlines of the Stephen Port case to shed new light on this story by telling it from the point of view of the families of the victims, focusing on their fight to uncover the truth about what had happened to their lost sons and brothers in the face of a now widely criticised police investigation.
