BBC Four Orders M.R. James Adaptation ‘Martin’s Close’, Peter Capaldi To Star
BBC Four has ordered Martin's Close, a one-off half-hour adaptation of M.R. James ghost story of the same name for their Christmas schedule. Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, The Thick Of It) is attached to star. Martin's Close is set in 1684 and follows John Martin, who is on trial for his life. Facing him, the infamous ‘hanging Judge’, George Jeffreys. But this is not a cut and dried murder case. Because the innocent girl Martin is accused of killing has been seen after her death. 
There She Goes is coming back. The BBC has renewed the comedy drama for a five episode second season. As part of said renewal, the series is also moving from BBC Four to BBC Two.
BBC Four has inked a deal with DR International Sales to acquire the UK rights to Norwegian drama State Of Happiness. The series will air in the channel's Saturday night foreign drama slot this summer.
The second season of Trapped will premiere on BBC Four on Saturday February 16th at 9pm with a double-bill, it has been announced. 
BBC Four has ordered a range of shows for their upcoming season on diversity. Said season of programming celebrates "British diversity and explores the secret tribes and communities that have helped shape modern British history."
BBC Four's Mark Gatiss penned ghost story The Dead Room will premiere on Christmas Eve (Monday December 24th) at 10pm, it has been announced.
