BBC Three is expanding Threesomes. The channel's short-form comedy strand, which is designed to give comedy writers and performers opportunity to bring their ideas to screen in a series of 3x3’ shorts, will now commission seven short-form projects per year. To that end, BBC Three has commissioned three further Threesomes: Hunter, a comedy about an attention seeking life-guru from Jon Pointing, Sophie Goodhart and Baby Cow Productions; Oi, Pussy!, a hyrbid effort combining live action and CGI following a cat; and Fully Blown, about two friends who don superstar rap personas. BBC Three has also renewed Kayode Ewumi's Enterprice for a second season.
George & George - the indie that was set up by Vicki Pepperdine and Joanna Scanlan to champion women’s voices in TV and film - has entered into a joint venture with Steve Coogan and Christine Langan’s Baby Cow Productions. Alongside that, the company has also inked a first look deal with BBC Studios.
Dave is sticking with two of their original scripted comedies. The UKTV owned and operated channel has renewed fantasy sitcom Zapped and NHS comedy Porters. Zapped will return for a third season, while Porters will return for season two. Both have received six episode orders and will return to Dave later this year.
