Channel 4 has picked up the UK rights to the second season of Nordic thriller Alex for their foreign language VOD service Walter Presents after striking a deal with international distributor APC Studios. Walter Presents launched the first season in the UK last year. 
About Premium Content is rebranding. The independent distribution company will now be known as APC Studios. The rebranding marks the fifth anniversary of the company and their move into production, financing and development, alongside their long-standing distribution business. After securing a UK deal with Channel 4 and Walter Presents earlier this year, international distributor About Premium Content has secured a raft of international deals for Nordic thriller Alex. The series has now been sold to ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE. and Polyband in Germany, Amazon Prime Video in France, MHZ in the United States, My Nordic TV in China, Canal + in Poland and Pop TV in Slovenia. 
Independent production company Nevision has acquired a majority stake in French financing and distribution company About Premium Content. The two companies will remain independent of each other and will continue to work with outside producers and distributors, but there will be opportunities for Nevision and APC to collaborate on specific projects. The deal will give Nevision a strengthened presence in Europe and will bring increased support and funding access to APC.
