In what is undoubtedly the BBC's biggest move in U.S. scripted acquisitions in years, they have inked a content partnership (effectively an output deal) with FX Networks that will make the Beeb the UK home to all future FX original comedy and drama series.

After a couple of months of ambiguity, BBC Two has now closed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to acquire the first window UK rights to The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. BBC Two will air the second season of American Crime Story in 2018, shortly after it launches on FX in the United States.

FX is reshuffling the future installments of American Crime Story. Katrina, which was previously announced as the next season, has been pushed, with Versace now set to air as the show's second season. Versace is expected to air in early 2018, with Katrina following later in the year.

American Crime Story is returning to the Beeb. BBC Two has picked up the first run UK broadcast rights to the second season of Ryan Murphy's FX anthology series from international distributor Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, TVWise has learned.

FX is adding to the cast of American Crime Story. Ricky Martin has boarded the anthology drama series from Ryan Murphy for its third season, subtitled Versace, TVWise has learned. He will play Antonio D'Amico, the longtime partner of murdered fashion designer Gianni Versace.
