BBC Three Renews ‘Back To Life’ For Second Season

BBC Three has handed out a second season renewal to Daisy Haggard and Laura Solon's comedy drama Back To Life. Six episodes have been ordered for the show's second season. Showtime, who recently aired season one state-side, are on-board to co-produce season two.

Emily Reid (Curfew, Belgravia), Emmett J. Scanlan (Peaky Blinders, The Fall), Catherine Walker (Shetland, Versailles) and Eleanor Methven (Little Women, Derry Girls) have been tapped to star in Channel 5's four-part drama The Deceived. The Deceived is described as having as "sinister narrative of lust, manipulation and betrayal". It follows English student Ophelia, who falls in love with her married lecturer, seeing in him all the answers to her needs.

Helen McCrory (Peaky Blinders, MotherFatherSon) has signed on to star opposite Hugh Laurie (House, Chance) in Roadkill, BBC One's four-part political thriller from David Hare. She will play Prime Minister Dawn Ellison.

Julie Graham (The Bletchley Circle), Neil Morrissey (Line of Duty), Tallulah Greive (Millie In Between), Nico Mirallegro (The Village), Art Malik (The Woman In White) and Wanda Ventham (Only Fools And Horses) have been cast in Penance, Channel 5's three-part drama based on Kate O’Riordan's novel of the same name.

It’s Official: ITV Orders Jeremy Bamber Drama ‘White House Farm’; Freddie Fox, Mark Addy & More To Star

Months after word of the project first leaked out, ITV has confirmed that they have ordered White House Farm, a six-part true crime drama starring Freddie Fox (Year Of The Rabbit) and Mark Addy (Game Of Thrones) that is based on the Jeremy Bamber case from the 1980s.  Alongside confirming details of the drama, ITV has also released five first look images.

Nicholas Ralph Set As Lead In Channel 5’s ‘All Creatures Great And Small’

Channel 5 has found their James Herriot. Newcomer Nicholas Ralph has been set as the lead in their new take on All Creatures Great And Small. Samuel West (Mr. Selfridge), Anna Madeley (Patrick Melrose), Callum Woodhouse (The Durrells) and Rachel Shenton (White Gold) have also been cast in the series.

‘Blood’ Renewed For Second Season, Channel 5 Back As UK Broadcaster

Blood is returning. Virgin Media Television in Ireland has renewed the Adrian Dunbar fronted series for a six episode second season. Channel 5, who acquired the show's first season, is confirmed to be returning as the UK broadcaster for season two.
